Guardian of the Wild
Mixed Media Original
“Guardian of the Wild” is a large-scale mixed-media artwork created with paint, layered textiles, and hand-applied raffia grass. This piece carries a strong influence from my earlier dry-felting work — full of curls, twirls, and sculptural textures — reimagined here in a more refined, painterly form.
At the heart of the composition is a powerful feline face, framed by a mane of twisting textile tendrils that echo wild grasses, animal markings, and organic movement. A small moth rests between the eyes, forming a symbolic third eye - a quiet reminder of instinct, intuition, and inner guidance.
Butterflies circle the Guardian, creating a contrast between strength and fragility: the wild and the delicate held in natural harmony.
A statement piece designed to anchor a room, full of presence, symbolism, and protective energy.
